BAMBINELLI SUNDAY

The Cathedral is celebrating Gaudete Sunday (16th December) by introducing a tradition from the Vatican For several decades children and adults have brought their Baby Jesus figures from their crib at their homes to St Peter’s Square where the Pope will bless both the people and the figurines. You are invited to bring your own Baby Jesus figures from your homes to one of the Cathedral Masses on 16 December and they will be blessed after the Final Prayer

Can you do something practical at Christmas?

Can you drive ?

Please join us in our Advent Calendar of prayer!

Day 6. Today we ask for prayers for a few people who are special to us - both within and outside of RYM. They are going through particularly tough times at the moment and need strength and guidance.

Day 5: we pray for all of those who are caring for others. Caring is such a worthwhile vocation but it can also be exhausting, overwhelming and isolating. We pray that those who are caring for loved ones learn to see God in their daily work.

Day 4: we pray for all of those who are homeless, or worried about becoming homeless. Especially those people we met last night. We pray that our society will do more to end this needless suffering.

Day 3: we pray for all who are sick at this time. That the Lord will give them strength and peace, and watch over those caring for them.

Day 2:  This can be a difficult one for a lot of us, but let us pray for our enemies. For those who want to bring us down or draw us away from doing God's work. That we and they learn to forgive and find peace.

Day 1: Today we pray for people of all faiths. That together we may build a better world and glorify God
