During Lent there will be additional opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

12 Rules for Life:  Hope Chaplaincy  from 5  to 6.30pm

The last of a four-part Lenten course. Based on the book of the same name by Jordan Peterson. All welcome


2nd April


LENT LUNCH at St Barnabas  - Noon

On Tuesdays during Lent,(March 12th,19th,26th, and April 2nd,9th) from 12 noon the Ladies from WINGS (Women in God’s Service) will be serving a Lunch of Homemade Soup and Bread. A reasonable donation will be acceptable. All monies being donated to the Whitechapel Centre for the Homeless. Do come and join us for a bowl of soup and help us raise money for this worthy cause.

Redemptorist Youth Ministry: for a talk and reflection on a spiritual theme, followed by social time 7.30pm in the Fisher-More Hall.

Walking in the footsteps of the Saints in the Gibberd Room at the Cathedral from 7 pm to 8 pm

Five Reflections on practical ways to deepen our Spiritual Life

Tonight's topic is the Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius Loyola  

Lectio Divina  at Our Lady of the Assumption Gateace are 1.30pm and 7pm

"Divine Reading". Lectio-read. Divina-divine. Praying the scripture as the living Word of God for our lives today. If you are ever confused about the readings at Mass then this is for you! The session will help people focus on one of the readings for the next Sunday’s Mass.

ECUMENICAL LENTEN PRAYER GROUP  at Elm Hall Drive 7-8.30pm

An opportunity to deepen your relationship with God, to explore new ways of praying, and to share on your prayer over the previous week in a confidential small group using resources on the Jesuit spirituality website: www.pathwaystogod.org .

Many resources are offered including daily prayer material by email.  You may use the resources for daily prayer without coming to the group.

At 8pm in the Centenary Rooms. The course will be based about Hebrews 12 and will include worship, input, prayer and discussion.

Journey to Holy Week and Easter at the Cenacle:

Saturday April 6th, 10am-4pm  A Day of prayer in preparation for Holy Week & Easter. The day will include the award-winning film, 'Of Gods and Men' and a reflection on Gospel based non-violence. Cenacle Retreat House, Tithebarn Grove, Lance Lane, L15 6TW.

Bishop Eton SVP conference is organising a Lenten Healing Mass at 12 noon on Saturday 6 April.     (St Mary's SVP conference has organised one for the 13th at 12 noon - see next weeks events for full detals.)

There will be an opportunity to receive the Sacrament of Healing. If you know of a parishioner or regular worshipper who might like to attend but would need transport then please contact   Bryan on 07866 307 511.
