Madeleine McCann. Going on two weeks ago the posters in the church for Madeleine were removed from the porch and Lady Chapel. This has caused great distress to the family, Fr Tim, and parishioners. If anyone knows why they were taken down without authority could they please let the parish office know. New posters have been put in place and should not be removed.
At the Whitechapel Centre, homeless people are able to take a shower and wash their clothes. However, a lot of the time their underwear, socks and trainers have to be thrown away. The Whitechapel Centre would be very grateful for any donations of men's and women's underwear (smaller sizes), socks and trainers especially size 5/6 women or size 9 men).
Also although we all enjoy the sunshine it can lead to dehydration, heat exhaustion and sun stroke for people who are rough sleeping. The Whitechapel centre would welcome donations of bottled water and sun cream for us to distribute to their clients. Thank you!
