Spread over two evenings, we will examine the emotionally-charged story which ponders the question ‘Where is God when the world is full of brokenness?’
During this second session, you’ll discover some of the background to the story and its author before discussing the themes raised. Entrance: Scott Suite Entrance (Cathedral Car Park side).
HAPPY SECOND BIRTHDAY TO US!
Can you believe it? It’s been two years already and with nearly fifty young people regularly attending and still going strong we are going to celebrate by going bowling and having a birthday cake!
I’ve been into the junior schools recently to talk to Years 5 and 6 in Much Woolton and Bishop Eton. I explained what ‘justice and peace’ is and some of the activities that we do and invited them to join the gang!
If you know any young people who would like to come along (aged between 9 and 18) then contact me!
The next few dates are as follows…
2nd March – Fisher More Hall – Fr Charles will be talking to us about Our Lady and prayer. We will be thinking about our own mums in time for Mother’s Day.
16th March – St Mary’s Hall – we will be holding a Lenten/Easter reflection.
April – no meetings
4th May – Fisher More Hall – the Monastery Garden
18th May – St Mary’s Hall – Yoga
Then the dates after that will be 1st June at Fisher More, 15th June at St Mary’s Hall
and the final one 6th July.
At our December table sale we raised £235 for Nugent and £235 for Project Zimbabwe: Nugent sent a thankyou wxplaining that the money raised would be used to support their Crisis Fund which helps families across the Archdiocese in desperate times of need
A second thank you was received from St Paul’s Eye Hospital for whom we raised £400 on the fab Sponsored Onesie Walk – Pyjamas in the Park. It was dark, and we all wore our pyjamas as we walked around Calderstones – then back to the church hall for hot choc and cookies!
If you would like to join us, or you have any ideas for any activities that we could get involved in, please contact me
We continue to be grateful for all the help and support that we receive from our friends and parishioners.
Here’s to the future!
