RYM: Dates for your diary (from Natasha)

Tuesday 23rd Jan - We're going to Animate's "Life and Soul"

An hour of prayer and praise before the Blessed Sacrament. I've heard these are really popular and awe-inspiring so thought we'd give it a try. It's at St Charles church in Aigburth - get in touch for bus/lift details. It's at the earlier time of 7pm - get there on time as it only lasts an hour! Then afterwards we'll go to get a drink locally.

Saturday 3rd Feb - 4pm - sign language session at St Mary's church hall.

We'll spend an hour learning the Lord's prayer and a few Mass responses, and then go to Mass together (5:30 vigil at St Mary's) and sign together! When we signed a hymn last time there were a few tears from parishioners!!

Tuesday 6th Feb - RYM comes home -

Yes, we'll be back in the Fisher More hall for an informative talk by a priest on Confession, with a focus on the Redemptorist motto "with Him there is plentiful redemption". We'll have a discussion and reflection - not to be missed, this will lead us in to Lent nicely!

Tuesday - 16th Jan - HOMELESS MISSION!

We're aiming to make this every other month. November's was truly amazing, so I hope you'll come along and see for yourself how meaningful this work is. We've got loads of donations so just bring yourself (and a friend?!). We meet at the Cathedral at 7:30, and then when we're done, we'll go for drinks and karaoke for those interested!

RYM and HOPE Cath Soc Homeless Mission 21st November

From Natasha

We are really happy to announce that we're doing a homeless mission in Liverpool City Centre on Tuesday 21st November.

Helen (Hope) has got some donations of food and toiletries to distribute, and Natasha and Anita (RYM) have been given a couple of generous donations so have bought eight brand new sleeping bags and have got some other donations of clothing, shoes and gloves to give out.

It's a wonderful opportunity to get together as young Catholics (though of course if you're not Catholic, or young for that matter, you're very welcome!) to live out our faith. It's a great chance to just get out there and meet people where they are, show a little kindness and listen to peoples' stories.

You can meet us at Hope University (under the arch) at 6:15pm (literally around the corner from Bishop Eton), or if you're closer to town, meet us at the Cathedral at 7pm. We'll begin with a prayer then head out to meet people and give out our donations.

RYMIn this month’s Catholic Pic there is a wonderful interview with Anita Carson about why she wanted to respond to a new challenge in her life and help the Redemptorists reach out to young people. Natasha Pritchard who is sharing the job with her has her own story and in the coming weeks we will give them an opportunity to speak to you about their hopes and plans.

RYM Young Adult Group. 18-40 year olds are invited to a meeting on 7 November at 7.30pm in Fisher-More Hall.

From Natasha & Anita

Hi all! We're really excited about the next gathering of young Catholics in Liverpool.

We've got a lovely relfection planned to help us explore social justice and doing good as individuals and as a group. A very special guest, Brother Mike C.Ss.R will give a unique insight into his experiences as a prison chaplain, then we'll get to ask him any questions!

This reflection will lead us in to a very special session next time, where we'll be going to feed the homeless - watch this space!

Of course we'll finish with a trip to the pub... or please respond if you'd rather do something else - we're thinking bowling?! Let us know!
