Opera Viva – Mossley Hill Parish Church 7.30pm

Opera Viva presents Cavalleria Rusticana by Mascagni - the story of a tragic love tangle in a Sicilian village. With its vivid characters and glorious music, including the gorgeous “Easter Hymn” this is an ideal chance for those who already love opera and those who would like to know more about it.

The second half takes us to “Prince Orlofsky’s Ball”, set in Vienna when the Strauss family were the Waltz Kings. This specially written entertainment is based on the party that takes place in Act II of Die Fledermaus.

All sung in English, staged and fully-costumed. Tickets cost £15 and are available from

Eleanor Rathbone Lecture, Bethel Welsh Church,  7.30pm

Bethel Presbyterian Church of Wales, Heathfield Road, Liverpool 15  entrance  Auckland Road)  in co- operation with the Liverpool  branch of the University of Wales Alumni  invite you to celebrate   100 years of  the Vote for Women over 30  years of age ( 1918-2018 )   by attending a lecture  given by Reverend Professor Dr D .Ben Rees on Eleanor Rathbone (1872-1946 ) who fought for the Vote , Refugees and Family.    Chairman: Councillor Richard Kemp,CBE.  A collection will be made towards the  Liverpool branch.

CREDIT UNION and RIVERSIDE’S FLOATING SUPPORT

Every Tuesday at St Barnabas 10.30am - Noon

St Barnabas Church host a Lodge Lane Credit Union drop in service in church.  A full range of Credit Union services is available.

Also, Liverpool City Council has commissioned a drop-in support service, which is run by the Riverside Housing Floating Support Team and promotes the wellbeing and independence of vulnerable people in Liverpool.   Advice on matters such as, budgeting, debt management, accessing benefits and finding/sustaining accommodation is available.

Tea and coffee is available between 10.30am and noon.
