With West End Has Faith and Tearfund at Bridge Chapel  Heath Road, Garston, Liverpool, L19 4XR; and also Saturday 27th October 2018;  All Saints Parish Church Liverpool 4 Towerlands Street, Liverpool, L7 8TT.

West End Has Faith is a group of professional singers working in musical theatre, who are Christian or interested in exploring their faith. As well as the magnificent music, they’ll be sharing their own stories and speaking about the work of Tearfund.

Sunday 28th October

75th Anniversary of the Council of Christians and Jews at Liverpool Cathedral Evensong 3pm

2018 marks the 75th Anniversary of the Council for Christians and Jews. To mark this occasion, Dr Joy Barrow, CCJ’s Branch Liaison Manager, will be preaching in Liverpool Cathedral at Evensong on Sunday October 28th at 3pm. She is one of the contributors to ‘Deep Calls To Deep: Transforming Conversations Between Jews And Christians’ which was published in January.

End of Term Get Together

Meet in the Hughes Room at Bishop Eton (entrance from the large rear car-park).  Doors open at 10.30, for an 11 o'clock start.

Clare-Marie Ion, a solicitor with the Crown Prosecution Service, will be giving us a talk about her work.  After her talk, we will go for a lunch in Hope Uni.

This will be our last meeting until February 11th, when we will have a tour of Allerton URC, followed by a local walk for which Brendan has kindly agreed to  be leader.

Tuesday 30th October

CREDIT UNION and RIVERSIDE’S FLOATING SUPPORT

Every Tuesday at St Barnabas 10.30am - Noon

St Barnabas Church host a Lodge Lane Credit Union drop in service in church.  A full range of Credit Union services is available.

There is also a drop-in support service, run by the Riverside Housing Floating Support Team  which promotes the wellbeing and independence of vulnerable people in Liverpool.   Advice on matters such as, budgeting, debt management, accessing benefits and finding/sustaining accommodation is available.

Tea and coffee is available between 10.30am and noon.

Wednesday 31st October

LUNCH CLUB – Elm Hall Drive Methodist – Noon – 1.45pm

We extend a warm welcome to anyone who would like to join our happy group. 

We meet each Wednesday at Elm Hall Drive Church for a freshly cooked two course meal, followed by tea and cake, for £3.

Friends can of course sit together - but we would want to get to know you too!

Open Church Remembrance - All Hallows Church - 10am to 4pm

We are opening at All Hallows on Saturday 10th to commemorate 100 years since the end of WW1.

Whilst it will be mainly for quiet contemplation and prayer there will be a small programme of singing and poetry reading.

Sunday 11th November
