Blessed Oscar Romero is to be canonised on 14 October 2018. A thanksgiving Mass will be celebrated at the Cathedral by Archbishop Malcolm McMahon on Sunday 28 October at 11:00am. All welcome!

’50 Faces’ of the Holy Land: is a photographic exhibition commissioned by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England & Wales to highlight and promote the lives of the faithful in Israel, Gaza and the Occupied Territories. The photographs taken by Marcin Mazur show how the faces of people are marked with the history, the diversity, the joys and sufferings of the Holy Land. Each face tells a story. Each person, a memory.  It will be displayed in the Metropolitan Cathedral from 29 September - 21 October.

Archbishop Patrick will celebrate Mass in the Cathedral on Wednesday 17th October at 5.15 p.m. for the intention of the Christians of the Holy Land.
