Masses in August
Masses: Please remember that during the month of August there will be no 7.00am Mass. This will commence on Monday 30 July.
Then on Sunday 24th June - they will be attending Mass, having Sunday lunch and watching football.
Meet at Bishop Eton for 11:30 Mass, then we will go to the Halfway House afterwards for food and watch the England v Panama game at 13:00. Please note that as Mass will finish just 30 minutes before kick off, there's a chance we may not get a seat and will have to resort to a plan B and go elsewhere or abandon our lunch plans. But it's Mass that's the important part, right?
Life Day: This Sunday has been especially designated as a Day of Prayer for Life, with the emphasis this year on the tragedy of human trafficking. Leaflets available in the porch. Listen to the below to hear of some of the work Caritas is doing to help those trafficked.
Cathedral Art Studio
A little-known area of our Cathedral is the Art Studio where volunteers meet three times a week to make and repair hangings, banners, vestments and stoles. New volunteers are always welcome.
Anyone wishing to visit the Studio should contact Cathedral House to make an appointment and groups are most welcome. Telephone 709 9222.
Resettlement Scheme Wish List
In the April edition of the Resettlement Newsletter, it was mentioned that we would be putting a 'wedding list' of items on the website. These items will be used to prepare a house for our family. The wedding list has been renamed as a wish list and you can find it by clicking here.
Thank you for your generosity

Eucharist is… Food for the Journey
Eucharist is… Food for the Journey. We might do well to take a moment to thank God for all that we have received, materially and in prayer. All that we have faced in our lives we did not face alone. Always God’s strength and God’s love were at work in our hearts even when, and perhaps especially when, we did not know it at all. We can pray for those for whom the journey is hard. But we can pray too that God’s strength and love will be at work in our hearts to make us bread broken for others, bringing the nourishment of God’s love to the weary and downcast.
