In February 2017, a group from St Peter’s Church – Woolton visited a project in Curitiba, Brazil that they support. Encontro com Deus (ECD) works to rebuild lives and families impacted by, or at risk from domestic violence and abuse. Another trip is being planned for February 2019 and this time the intention is to build a group that includes people from other churches in the area. Thank you to Dr John Williams for his summary of our Women’s World Day of Prayer Service and Jenny Holden for notes on the March Walk.   We are pleased to welcome Fr. David Blowey as Parochial Administrator at St Anthony of Padua. He replaces Fr. Gerald Hicks who has been transferred to a Friary in Manchester.

We are very excited to invite you to save the date, Saturday 1st September 2018, in your calendar as the day we commemorate and begin our celebrations for the 50th year anniversary of the establishment of VMM.

International AGM & Gala Dinner

On that day we will be holding our AGM, which will take place in the beautiful Emmaus Centre in Swords, Dublin, very convenient to the airport. This will then be followed in the evening by a gala dinner, venue to be confirmed. We are delighted to confirm that the very special guest will be VMM founder, Edwina Gateley, who will be flying in from the US to join us in the festivities. September 1st 2018

So, be sure to mark September 1st in your diary. We would be delighted to see you there. It is going to be a great event. Catch up with old friends, meet the new team, reminisce and share your stories. We have much to celebrate together.
