Fr Charles: It will be good for us to welcome Fr Charles Randall properly and we are planning that he will preach at the 5.30pm Mass at St Mary’s on Saturday week (25 February) and at Bishop Eton at the 6.00pm Mass on Sunday (26 February). There will be informal receptions in the parish centres afterwards. Fr Charles has been asked to work with Fr Richard Reid in the field of vocation and take responsibility for this part of the world. So at these Masses he will address the subject of religious and priestly vocation. I invite any young men and women who may be interested to make a point of coming to one of these Masses. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could form a support group to meet and discern with Fr Charles over the coming months? THE CATHOLIC CHAPLAINCY AT THE ROYAL LIVERPOOL HOSPITAL is looking for new volunteers to join our successful team. Some of our volunteers have been with us for as long as 25 years! We offer a lot of training and support. You don't have to be an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion to join our team. The duties of the volunteers include visiting patients on the wards, talking and listening to them, helping to meet any spiritual needs they may have during their hospital stay and sometimes praying with them. Volunteers who are Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion may also administer Holy Communion to our patients. RYM Little Acts of Love Challenge

It's the month of February - the month of love - the month of Valentine's Day!

And we all know that 'God is love' (1 John 4:16)

So we at Redemptorist Youth Ministry (RYM) want to set you all a wee challenge!

Given all the negative news stories and division that exists in the world at the moment - let us all start a revolution based on love, mercy & hope!

We want to encourage you to SHARE THE LOVE - by performing 'little acts of love' each day between now 1st February and Valentine's Day on Tuesday 14th February!

This could be anything at all:-
- from being nice to/ or complimenting someone
- to donating items to a local food bank, or
- buying someone else a coffee, snack or gift
- paying it forward in a coffee shop!

Or it could be
- visiting a sick or elderly neighbour,
- forgiving someone who you've held a grudge against for a while,
- to sending an email or offering prayers for someone who needs your support!

Or it could simply be
- to volunteer your time to help a charity or
- buying a hot drink for someone who is homeless.

It could be ANYTHING AT ALL - but the challenge is to DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT EACH DAY!
