JOURNEY IN FAITH: This afternoon those who have been on the Journey in Faith (RCIA), which this year has been hosted by St Mary’s, will be presented to the Archbishop at the Cathedral. Please pray for them that this last part of their journey towards Baptism or Reception into the Church at Easter will be especially blessed. We will also present them to the parishes on one of the Sundays during Lent.
Visit of Fr Daniel O’Leary: Today we welcome Fr Daniel O’Leary, a celebrated speaker and writer, who will lead a session organised by the ACTA group in the Fisher-More Hall between 1.30pm and 4.00pm. I hope to be able to welcome him, but will then leave to be with the RCIA group at the cathedral.
SERVERS: Please note we are planning a gathering of ALL our servers at the noon Mass on Saturday, 18 March, followed by a get-together in the hall. Servers who have faithfully completed their first year will receive their Guild of St Stephen medal.
Project Zimbabwe meeting will be held on Thursday 9 March at 8.00pm in the Hughes room to discuss upcoming events. All welcome.
Stations of the Cross: A small group of parishioners are meeting together during Lent to pray the Stations of the Cross. We will meet on Friday’s2.00pm and all are welcome to join us. More details can be found in the porch.
CAFOD Family Fast Day will take place on Friday 10 March. CAFOD envelopes are available in the porch. Please take one this weekend and return next weekend. Please see the poster in the porch.

The Justice and Peace group Table Sale will be held on Saturday 11 March in Fisher-More Hall to raise money for Project Zimbabwe. TABLES £10—to book a table please ring 722 1108. Please donate any saleable goods, unwanted Christmas presents, etc at the back of church. Thank you.

SVP monthly collection will take place after all Masses today. Thank you for your generosity.
Parish Coffee Morning after the 10.00am Mass today. Also, the Repository selling cards for St Patrick’s Day, Mother’s Day and Easter; also First Communion items—all proceeds in aid of Project Zimbabwe.

"Red Boxes" APF/ Mill Hill Missio: The total collected during 2016 was a record £7832.00! Congratulations to all concerned. Spring collection is imminent there will be a meeting for collectors Tuesday 7 March in the Hughes Room at 7.30pm. If you would like a box in your home please leave your name and address when leaving the church after Mass.
The National Novena to St Joseph will take place from 10-18 March at St Joseph's Church in Maidenhead and at Herbert House, Freshfield, Liverpool. Please see Poster in the porch for more details.
Allerton Brass:The band competed in the regional contest in Blackpool at the weekend and came a close 2nd. The band is now eligible to compete in the National contest in Cheltenham taking place in September. Well done!

The Liverpool talking newspaper is a facility for the blind whereby audio memory sticks are created and distributed every month by post to members of the blind community in Liverpool. It relies on the help of volunteers and is looking for new members to attend a recording studio in Speke to read items of information to include on the memory stick. There is also a need for new recording technicians. Training will be provided for anyone interested in helping. Please phone David Keane on 428 -2509 for further information

RYM HOMELESS MISSION 7th MARCH
Following the incredible response to our 3 recent Homeless Missions and the demand from people to have another - Redemptorist Youth Ministry (RYM) in Liverpool welcomes you to our next Homeless Mission Night.
We will meet outside Metropolitan Cathedral at 7pm on Tuesday 7th March 2017!
We will gather to walk around the City Centre to try and provide for those we encounter who are homeless.
If you can help by offering
- your time
- spread word and invite a friend
- making sandwiches to distribute
- bring bottled water or crisps
- bring any spare scarves, hats, gloves, sleeping bags, toothbrushes, toothpaste
- make a monetary donation to buy hot drinks
- bring flasks with hot water, tea bags, coffee
- encourage others to help on night or prepare
- if you can't attend - pray for our Mission
On the night we split into groups and walk around the streets in groups and buy hot drinks and distribute sandwiches and clothing etc for those people we see who are in need!
We will gather at 7pm (sharp) in
outside Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral. We will leave at 710pm at latest to start the mission!
We will begin with a short prayer and some instructions for the evening!
Come along if you can, invite a friend, and be assured of a special night of witness and service to our brothers and sisters in need!

Mass for the Deaf Community
A Mass for the deaf community is held at Christ the King Church, Queens 5 Drive every 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month at 4.30pm. All welcome.
For those aged 18-30. A programme led by Fr. James Preston, Sr Catherine Skelton & Sr MaryAnne Francalanza. A monthly meeting at St Charles Church Aigburthfor those who wish to deepen their faith or discern their vocation.
We aspire to be a Dementia Friendly parish, the Archdiocese has arranged a one day conference by Professor June Andrews, author of Dementia The One Stop Guide.
