FROM FR TIM
TODAY IS THE SOLEMNITY OF THE MOST HOLY REDEEMER: Brother Michael Taylor, our Redemptorist student, will speak at all the Masses. As always we thank you for all the support you give us in the mission both here in Britain and in Zimbabwe, the region under our Province’s special care.
And regarding Zimbabwe: a huge ‘Thank you’ to Frances Sibert, Jess, Joshua and Matthew for their recent visit to our mission. I know their efforts were greatly appreciated and in spite of a hiccup on the way back that they had a wonderful time.
There will be a retiring collection for the education of our students and we thank you in anticipation of your usual generosity. Gift aid forms are available in the porch.
Schools: As our schools break up for the summer holidays, we wish all the staff and pupils an enjoyable few weeks and thank them for all the hard work during the past academic year.
Comings and Goings: Everyone should be back in the community this weekend. We hope that Fr Jim Casey had a wonderful pilgrimage to Lourdes and that the meeting attended by Fr Charles in Spain was a success. Fr Barrie is still struggling with his sight, but bravely carrying on. Please keep us all in your prayers on our Feast Day.
RCIA (Journey in Faith): A reminder to any interested parties to provide the parish office with your details.
The Lady Chapel: The Lady Chapel and its aisle will probably be closed from the end of July until towards the end of October so that the damaged plaster can be repaired. It will take this long because time has to be allowed for the new plaster to dry out. We may be lucky and find that the process is quicker than anticipated, but be prepared for the fact that unfortunately it will not be possible to light votive candles in front of the shrine during this period. We anticipate making the aisle available on Sundays, but otherwise ask you not to venture across the taped off areas. The rosary will have to be suspended when the workmen are on site, so that they can have the maximum time available each day. The noon Mass will continue as usual.
Bereavement Support Group meeting will be on Tuesday 18 July from 2.00pm—4.00pm in the Hughes Meeting Room.
Redemptorist Youth Ministry: Our young adult prayer group meets on Tuesday 18 July for evening prayer, conversation and refreshments. Please join us at the Fisher-More Hall, Bishop Eton, from 7.30pm.
Used Stamps: Thank you to all who donated used stamps, they have raised a massive £395.50 for Redemptorist Mission Action. If you can donate any used stamps please pass them in to reception at the Monastery.
Toddler Group are looking for volunteers to help at Monday group from 10.00am. If you are interested please contact the parish office. A DBS will be required.
Please note: There will not be a Parish Quiz this coming August. Next Parish Quiz will be Saturday 2 September.
The Archdiocesan Pilgrimage takes place from 21—28 July. Prayer leaflets are at the Monastery reception if you are able to contribute to the Assisted Funds please hand in your donation at Reception.

NUGENT HTC SUMMER FAIR
Please can everyone using the car park take extra care and adhere to the NO PARKING signs. Cars are regularly blocking access routes and parking on double yellow lines obstructing the free flow of traffic and pedestrians.
- recently the concrete bollard which had only just been replaced was bumped into;
- the wooden flower beds outside the Monastery was severely damaged, after so much hard work had gone into replanting them,
- cars are constantly being scraped.
In most of these cases NO-ONE has informed the monastery that they have caused any damage. Please park responsibly and manoeuvre carefully to avoid damaging any property.
