Please can everyone using the car park take extra care and adhere to the NO PARKING signs. Cars are regularly blocking access routes and parking on double yellow lines obstructing the free flow of traffic and pedestrians.

  • recently the concrete bollard which had only just been replaced was bumped into;
  • the wooden flower beds outside the Monastery was severely damaged, after so much hard work had gone into replanting them,
  • cars are constantly being scraped.

In most of these cases NO-ONE has informed the monastery that they have caused any damage. Please park responsibly and manoeuvre carefully to avoid damaging any property.

The drama of the Mass

Becoming a Dementia friendly parish - From Fr. Tim

From St. Mary's Newsletter 22nd & 23rd July 2017

Becoming a Dementia Friendly Parish:  I would like to congratulate Ann O’Neill for organising the Dementia Information Session last Monday evening and thank you all for the wonderful turnout.  We have something very positive developing here and it is my hope that we can all work together to support our parishioners living with dementia and their carers, to enable them continue to come to church for as long as possible.  In conjunction with Dementia Friends UK we will continue to provide information and ‘Dementia Fact Sheets’ at the back of church and keep you informed of any further developments in our own community.  In the meantime, if you need any further information, please contact Ann in the parish office. You will also find a wealth of information on the Dementia Friends website at:
