Are you new to the parish? welcome! If you live within the parish or attend here regularly you should be registered with us by filling in a census form. These can be found in the porch along with a Parish Directory. Hand your completed form into the parish office.

Work in the church: I am extremely grateful that the transition has been so smooth thus far and especially pleased that the contractors have managed to mount the shrine to Our Lady of Perpetual Succour over St Joseph’s altar while the renovation is taking place. You appreciate that it would be impossible, indeed dangerous, to have the votive candles during this time, but I am sure you will make up for it when the work is complete!

Rosary in church: If you wish to pray the rosary when the workforce is in the church, I suggest that you gather together and pray it quietly before the shrine. We have agreed with the contractors that they will only have to cease work for the noon Mass.

Funerals: We have had two large funerals during the past week and I am grateful to all those who helped to ensure that the families were supported and the ceremonies ran smoothly.

Comings and Goings: Fr Jim Casey is taking some holiday with his family in Scotland and Fr Andrew is at the European Team Meeting of Marriage Encounter in Madrid until Wednesday.

Barcelona: Once again we have been faced with terrorist atrocities in Europe during the past week. We pray for the repose of the souls of those who lost their lives and all those suffering the effects of these outrages. Let us never grow weary from praying for peace and striving to be peacemakers.

Organ Recital following the noon Mass on Saturday 26 August given by our parishioner Dylan McCaig. Dylan is about to take up the Organ Scholarship at Chad's Cathedral, Birmingham. All welcome, refreshments follow in the Fisher-More Hall.
