RYM Dates for your diary

26th Sept - Meeting in Fisher More Hall

Come along to a meeting of young Catholic adults in Liverpool. We'll be having a talk about living out our Catholic faith with a special guest speaker! Lots of time for getting to know each other, praying together, and afterwards some social time (maybe at the pub?)

10th Oct - Mass and Social

A very special Mass - our first with our new group leaders. We'll meet at church at 7.30pm and pray together, and Mass will begin at 7:45 prompt.

We will then have refreshments - either in the hall, or we'll go out for a meal

28th Oct - Retreat Day at Pantasaph

18-40 year olds (or thereabouts!) are welcome to join us for a quiet retreat day in the beautiful north Welsh countryside, just one hour's drive from Bishop Eton. We will be able to pray together, spend time in silence, go to Mass, have lunch and get to know each other a bit more.

We will be attending the vigil Mass at 4pm. Confessions available at 11.30, and we'll have lunch in the cafe on site together around 12:30.

The theme of the retreat is surrender to God.

The day is free of charge - just bring money for lunch, petrol contributions and donation for the collection at Mass! However, we will need to know numbers as soon as possible, to ensure we've got enough car space for everyone, so if you're interested let us know. We'll be departing from Bishop Eton at 10am, and if you can offer space in your car, or will require a lift from someone else, please let us know.

Home Mission Sunday

The Home Mission Office exists to help the Church throughout England and Wales to share the joy of the Gospel. It can seem daunting to share such a personal part of our lives as our faith in Jesus Christ. However, we can pray that the people we carry in our hearts will encounter him for themselves. Prayer cards and prayer maps for families are available from If you would like to pray for the spread of the Good News on a regular basis, please sign up to our newsletter via

Please consider contributing to today’s second collection. The money received from this collection ensures that the Catholic Faith Centre is resourced and is able to respond to those who have questions about the Catholic Faith. It is possible to donate online at:

Youth J&P Group

Faith and Work / Work and Faith:

Over half of those who work in Britain say that they believe that their commitment to work has impacted negatively on their relationships and how their personal lives have turned out. Most workers spend 50% of their total waking hours each day at work. If this is your experience you are welcome to explore how the church can help you in your Monday to Friday life.

Romero Room, Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Hedgefield Rd, Wed 20th Sept 7-8.30pm. All welcome!
