FROM FR TIM

PARISH LETTER: For some months I have been hinting that I plan to offer you some food for thought in an ‘open   letter’. Well it has come to fruition and is available to you this weekend. In the past couple of weeks I launched it at my  meetings with the parents of our First Communion children and I look forward to having a conversation with them about it in the coming weeks. Please do take the trouble to read it and talk about it. My sincere hope is that it will provide the springboard for new ideas and new initiatives in both our parishes.

Novena in honour of St Therese of Lisieux: We have been trying during the past week to keep the memory of St Therese, the patron of our Pastoral Area (admittedly with mixed success). Today would have been her Feast Day, but we are planning to honour her memory on Wednesday at Evening Prayer in Hope University Chapel at 6.00pm.

Redemptorist Youth Ministry I am happy to announce officially that from the beginning of this month, Natasha Pritchard and Anita Carson will take over the work, begun a few years ago by Paul Murphy. I hope their enthusiasm will inspire young people of all ages, not only in our parishes but across the country, to deepen their faith and their commitment to the mission of the Lord.

RYM: There is a mass on Tuesday 10 October 7.30pm to celebrate new beginnings of the Redemptorist Youth Ministry, with a social event afterwards in the Fisher-More Hall. All welcome. Please contact Natasha & Anita at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or This email address is being protected from spambots.
