FROM FR TIM
TODAY IS THE SOLEMNITY OF CORPUS CHRISTI
In this year of the Eucharistic Congress, we pray that the Lord will deepen our understanding of and reverence for the gift of his Body and Blood in Holy Communion. We pray again for the families whose children have made their First Communion this year and remind you that the 10.00am Mass on Sunday 17 June, will be a special celebration Mass for them.
NOVENA IN HONOUR OF OUR MOTHER OF PERPETUAL SUCCOUR
(Tuesday 19 June—Wednesday 27 June)
Fr Charles Corrigan and our students will lead the Novena and Fr Corrigan has requested that in the evening there should be a Novena Service, beginning at 7.00pm. Posters and leaflets will soon be available for distribution. Meanwhile, please spread the word far and wide. Thank you.

Monday 18th June
Please note MONDAY rather than Tuesday for this one-off special. It's the first England game of the World Cup - England v Tunisia at 19:00. We thought we'd meet at the Halfway House at the earlier time of 6 pm, have some food and watch the match together. For those of you who can't make Mondays, or would prefer something spiritual on the Tuesday as usual, please just let us know and we will plan something for Tuesday too, as we don't want anyone to feel unincluded!
Saturday 23rd June - it's the Northern Catholic Conference at Hope University.
We're getting involved with a session for the teenagers, and it's always a great weekend for Catholics of all ages to explore aspects of their faith, so why not think about popping in?
Sunday 24th June - Mass, Sunday lunch and football.
Meet at Bishop Eton for 11:30 Mass, then we will go to the Halfway House afterwards for food and watch the England v Panama game at 13:00. Please note that as Mass will finish just 30 minutes before kick off, there's a chance we may not get a seat and will have to resort to a plan B and go elsewhere or abandon our lunch plans. But it's Mass that's the important part, right?

Perfumed Rosary Beads
St John Vianney’s Parish Sister, Sister Mary, who is now housebound, makes ‘real’ Rosary beads from real rose petals thus producing perfumed beads. She buys the accessories from overseas and then takes a couple of months preparing the crushed rose petals, until ready for beading. Sister then hand assembles the beads, the chains and crucifix complete with their presentation box, they are so blessed! Sister produces these to help raise much needed funds for those in Bangladesh who have had their villages and churches destroyed by floods.
