Who are the Redemptorists?
Founded in 1732 by St. Alphonsus Liguori to be a congregation of Priests and Brothers who work tirelessly for the poor and most abandoned under the banner and motto:
“With Him, there is plentiful redemption.”
We live together in community, trying to live an apostolic life focussed around the Eucharist, the Divine Office and our Apostolic ministries.
Our Mother of Perpetual Succour…
The Redemptorists were given the icon by Pope Pius IX in 1866 more than 150 years ago, who told us:
“Make her known throughout the world.”
As part of that brief, once a year we especially gather together for nine days (culminating with the feast) to venerate this Icon of the Mother of God, to ask for her loving intercession and to express our gratitude for all the many graces she has won for us through her Son.
Unable to Travel ?
You can pray the Novena at home, uniting your prayers with ours. The Redemptorists have set up a website to enable people with no access to the Perpetual Novena or unable to get to a Perpetual Novena to set up Home Novena group.
