RYM young adult group is for Catholics age 18-40 in any stage on their faith journey.
Our aim is to meet other young Catholics, get to know each other, and grow in faith.

Autumn term 2018/9 – What’s on?

September

2nd – Monthly 18-40 Mass and Drinks – 6pm Mass at Bishop Eton

(arrive 5:50 so we can sit together), then Childwall Abbey or Halfway House (TBC) for drinks to get to know each other.

18th – 7:30pm – Mass and food

Join us for the first Tuesday RYM of the academic year! We will then go to the Halfway House and have food and drinks together.

October

2nd – 7:30pm St. Alphonsus and Adoration

Fisher More Hall then Bishop Eton Church. Mini-retreat evening – with a focus on St Alphonsus’ life and spirituality, focus on praying with Mary, and time for Adoration, silence and reflection.

7th – Monthly 18-40 Mass and Drinks – 6pm Mass at Bishop Eton 

(arrive 5:50 so we can sit together), then Childwall Abbey or Halfway House (TBC) for drinks to get to know each other.

16th – Homeless mission  - not to be missed.

Join dozens of other young adults as we bring toiletries, clothes and conversation to our homeless brothers and sisters in the city. Meet at the bottom of the Cathedral steps at 7:30pm. Bring any items you’d like to donate (don’t worry if you can’t, we have plenty) and a bag for life. Wear sensible clothing and shoes! Afterwards, we can go for a drink in town.

30th – 7:30pm, Fisher More Hall – exploring scripture.

We’ll finish with a Saints' quiz for All Saints Day, and then some games and snacks in the hall.

November

4th – Monthly 18-40 Mass and Drinks – 6pm Mass at Bishop Eton

(arrive 5:50 so we can sit together), then Childwall Abbey or Halfway House (TBC) for drinks to get to know each other.

13th – Pizza and Pub Quiz.

Meet at 7:15 pm at the Elephant, Woolton for 2 for 1 pizza (other meals available). Then they have a really fun pub quiz afterwards! We need to book, so do let us know if you’re coming.

27th – The Kingdom of God –

Jesus mentions the Kingdom of God 120 times in the gospels, so we know it’s important – but

  • What is it?
  • Where is it?
  • And how do we get there?

We’ll have a talk and a reflection, and then finish at the pub.

December
